Summary:

I bring diverse experience gained in Ireland, UK, Germany, Singapore and working globally in large multi-nationals like Dell, SAP and small start-ups. This culminates in broad business exposure, rich experience and insights to share to help you navigate the challenges of growing and scaling your business.

  • Natural leader with significant experience in driving start-up high growth initiatives and business transformation programmes

  • Strategic vision and operational execution with expertise gained in the largest Merger & Acquisition in IT history (Dell/EMC)

Over the past 13 years

In the past 13 years I have led a variety of transformation or start-up programs for Dell Technologies:

  • Oversaw and led global programs to transform the seller and partner experience, impacting $102bn annual revenue, through improving systems, technology, policies, processes, governance and managing change

  • Set up operations for a new subscription Target Operating Model (TOM) in EMEA and Asia Pacific for APEX, Dell Technologies 'as a service' Cloud offering. Delivered first APEX solutions, typical deal value ~$2-3M

  • Stood up business processes, training and enablement for the ELA (Enterprise License Agreement) program, a high margin software business

  • Enabled the closure of very high value complex deals (>$500M) by solving the operational booking, billing challenges of multi-year deals

  • Implemented global governance for all deals over $2M aligned to the company's risk framework, meeting audit requirements. Drove the global change management across 40k sellers and supporting business functions

  • Led the setup of a new Internet of Things (IoT) product line for EMEA ($50M in year 1)

  • Part of the team setting up the Services Sales organization for EMEA and growing the high-margin business from start-up to $500M in a few years.

Start-up

Before that, I spent 5 years in a telecom software start-up, Jinny Software, as Head of Marketing Communications. I built the marketing effort from scratch, growing a small global team to deliver on a range of marketing activities from lead generation, content marketing, global events, PR, analyst relations and all supporting internal systems and structures. During this period the business added 30 new customers globally and more than doubled revenue.

International experience

I previously spent 8 years with SAP working a number of roles, initially supporting the UK sales teams with competitive bids, moving to Germany where I supported a member of the SAP Executive Board with global communications, presentations and speeches, then Asia Pacific where I led the roll-out of a new Services portfolio to SAP sales, customers and partners. I returned to Ireland with SAP, working with their biggest Irish customer's in support of their SAP environments.

I began my career as a market analyst with IDC and Dataquest. I am married and the mother of two young men near adulthood!

Education

2024

Diploma in Business Sustainability
Institute of Sustainability Studies

2014 - 2016

Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
University of Wales Trinity Saint David

With sustainability now a key consideration for all businesses, I wanted to master the CRSD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) landscape, learning the practical approaches to turn compliance into a competitive advantage for organisations.

I returned to University to get the much sought after MBA, which I worked on part-time and weekends for 2 years while balancing the demands of my young family and a full-time job, with the support of my husband. An MBA ensures theoretical and practical training on general business management principles covering finance and accounting, HR, supply chain, marketing, management and leadership. My thesis on Cultural Change Management in Mergers & Acquisition's was a lived experience since I took a role within Dell Technologies giving me a ringside seat to some major M&A activity. I shared the impactful findings and recommendations which were warmly welcomed by the global Dell leadership team.

2004 - 2005

Diploma in Applied Project Management
UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School

After managing a few large regional projects within SAP, I felt that it was wise to put some formal qualifications around that existing experience. The Diploma in Applied Project Management provided the formal and practical approaches on how to plan, control, monitor and deliver successful projects as well as using supporting tools such as Microsoft Project Management.

1992 - 1996

BA (Hons) Business Administration
Brunel University

As a young adult in 1996 I left university with a decent broad business degree and was delighted to go straight into the workforce where I discovered that being 'hands on' in business was the right 'fit' for me.
